This report describes the findings of an evaluation study of the FIRST LEGO League Jr. 2013-2014 Disaster BlasterSM season conducted by The Research Group at the University of California, Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science. The report considers the impact of the program on participant (i.e. children and coaches) outcomes, experiences, and satisfaction, discusses the implications of the findings for FIRST LEGO League Jr., and provides some recommendations for future vision, implementation, and research.
This report is a detailed compilation of The National Theatre for Children’s in-school programs based on a weighted combination of six criteria: Educational Value, Consistency at Scale, Measurable Usage, Parental Activation, Cost Per Student and Public Relations Value. The evaluation was conducted by NTC Research Foundation (NTCRF) from September 2015–June 2016 with the participation of over 10,000 teachers from 2,436 schools in 26 states.
